I can't wait four hours in that store
As usual at the Gotemba store. You cannot make online or telephone reservations, so make a reservation in advance at the store terminal and return to the store when it is time. Even after the time has passed, the reservation is valid, so if you show the reservation ticket to the store clerk, you will be given priority.
What time does the reservation reception be done?
When I went there 30 minutes before business hours, I have already accepted it, I waited an hour and a half.
Saturdays and Sundays (congratulation) starts distribution of reserved tickets from 10 o'clock, but it seems to be from 1100 on weekdays

I used to go to Gotenba with a friend of Chiba Toyohashi by chance. There wasn't a neighbourhood, but I waited for more than two hours, but the customers were not gone. We entered and returned to the hotel once again (laughs) There are 20 stores in Shizuoka Prefecture, so you may know everyone in Shizuoka Prefecture?

For the amount of food you can get for the price. It's an awesome deal and you will leave full. The quality of the meat is amazing. If I was staying in japan longer I would be a repeat customer.

My expectation was high as my friend told me how amazing this place is. I've arrived at the parking lot that was full of cars but they had another parking lot nearby. The wait time for the table at 11:30am was 90 mins. Note that they intentionally blow the smoke from coming into the dining area, so expect your clothing to smell. The food was ok, I've ordered the 250g meat meal, which i think the sauce is too salty.

Although the food is delicious, customer accomodation is a mess if there is a lot of people, even when you have a reservation. I still recommend it but brace yourselves... A trip to this place might be a full day thing

This place was crazy busy at 1800 so get in early and pull a ticket. Seems as if everybody loves this place. Including my friends and I you will enjoy. May want to ask them too took the burger well as it will be pink.

Sawayaka is a chain of restaurants that has perfected the Japanese Hamburg steak. They serve their delicious ground beef ball, sizzling on a cast iron pan, and it finishes grilling in front of you. This Gotemba branch was great as usual. We did come during the dinner rush and had to wait a bit, but it was worth it.

Sawayaka is famous in Japan for its reasonable and tasty hamburg. Most branches are full of local people. However, since this branch is the nearest one from Tokyo, there are lots of people from greater Tokyo area as well as locals. If you are going through Shizuoka prefecture and want to try Sawayaka, you might want to pick another branch.

This restaurant is where you MUST visit if you’d come close to Mt.Fuji. Seriously this Genkotsu hamburg steak is what I’d chose for the last supper just before I die. I have eaten much more expensive meats in Tokyo and NY but this 1000JPY steak set is the best for me. You cannot find a Sawayaka restaurant in Tokyo and this branch is the most east one. There is always a long waiting list (it could be like 2 hours) and you cannot make reservation beforehand. So visit there earlier and make your name in the waiting list. You don’t have to wait there because app can tell you remaining time (attached pic).
